Hi, I know this question must have been asked a million times but I'm having trouble with TV recordings from my TV card. I record various things and they've generally got errors in them but when I try to take the adverts/commercials out it either mucks up the audio sync or it creates a problem like seen in the images below when I use VideoReDo to remove the adverts where it overlays an old scene on top of the area with errors which makes it unwatchable.

I've tried a million programs, tried demuxing it and remuxing it and then cutting and joining. I've tried different settings in VideoReDo, I've tried lots of other programs and still no luck.

Can anyone suggest a way to get around this problem in VideoReDo or with another program?

I've also uploaded a video to show what it looks like when watching.

Any help would be much appreciated.

  2. Hi MattG,
Can you upload a recording with adverts/commercials that I can download and see if I'm having the same problems when editing out the adverts/commercials.

I upgraded my version of VideoReDo and it seemed to fix it, completely cutting out the video scenes instead - it's at least semi-watchable like that.

I would imagine the main reason for the errors is the signal strength because I have a fairly capable CPU (P4 2.66GHz), 768mb of ram, fast hard drive with 8mb cache, latest TV card drivers and version of GB-PVR and usually don't do anything on the computer while it's recording so I'm guessing the errors in the videos are down to the digital tv signal.
