I would like to be able to capture directly to an external USB hard drive, using my laptop to control the procedure. It seems to me that something LIKE Enosoft DV Processor would be perfect! Is there such a thing? My camera is a Sony FX-1. I'm getting a headach from scouring the forums and tools sections looking for stuff.
Somewhere I read that CapDVCR works well. Any experience with this and does it support Vista? Oh yes, I didn't mention that my new laptop (Dell XPS) arrived with Vista on it.Womble Video Wizzard look promising as an HDV Editor for the road - fast and light! I have used Premiere Elements (and before that, Premiere Pro) for years, but only with DV - never with HDV. PE is SO SLOW, that I'm looking for alternatives... Also, it won't do what Ensoft and CapDVCR claim to do.
Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas would be most welcome!
Cheers,
