Dear forum
I have a 7 inch portable DVD standalone player which I can use to watch dvds on the built in screen. Also I can use same player to watch dvd on the tv set for better quality picture and sound. (using the supplied audio/video cable to connect it to the television. . With a scart adaptor it is possible to connect via the tv's scart socket.
The scart adaptor has a two way switch to select either input or output. One way the signal goes from the dvd player to the tv set . The other way the signal from the tv set can be viewed on the portable dvd player.
This led me to wonder whether it would be possible to view on the portable dvd player, a videotape played back on a video player that is connected to the portable dvd player.
I tried this out but nothing came up on the dvd screen.
Please can anyone advise whether this should be possible to achieve (or not) and whether such a connection is possible if so how to do it . Also what I might have been doing wrong.
Yours sincerely
Ian
