Everytime I tried to convert a video into an MPEG02...

The Sound is always off...Do you know of ANY Programs to convert the Video from RMVB to MPEG02 or AVI...

Without having to edit the sound with virtualDub manually??

    Please reply

RMVB to any other format can be difficult. The problem is the 'VB' part; 'Variable Bitrate'. That makes it difficult for most encoders to properly read the length of the video and audio. And the results are often out of sync. Probably best is to separate out the audio and convert it separately from the video.

    Here's one guide: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=284288
And a thread for some different methods: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=987885#987885

Three encoders that might work: TMPGEnc, SUPER, ConvertXToDVD.

  4. I used this guide:

to convert to an XVid avi file. It runs fine on the computer, but has no audio on a DVD player.
