    Hi everybody,

I have lots of DVDs which do not have french subtitles and my boyfriend only speaks french. I would like to know if there is a possibility to download the subltitles somewhere and add them in the DVD player of my computer while watching my DVD.
I would like to avoid to rip my DVDs since I have a huge pack of them.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Lots of subtitles sites out there:
    http://www.divxstation.com
    http://www.divxsubtitles.net
    http://www.opensubtitles.org
    http://www.subbiee.com
    http://titles.box.sk

But it's not that easy to add it and you may also get sync problems. I have used MPC and Zoom Player and it worked pretty well, see https://www.videohelp.com/play#subs

Or upgrade your boyfriend with an english service pack. .

You can also use SubtitleCreator to ease the process although it doesn't work with multi-pgc dvds.

Subtitle Workshop. Read its help, it has comprehensive tools for timing adjustments. Often you can just locate the first and last subs and mark them, the rest are interpolated.

Also VisualSubSync, though I haven't used this myself.
