I have a school project in which I would like to combine a few different movie scenes from one DVD movie. I was able to de-author DVD.

Is there software that can 1) cut and 2) combine scenes together from a DVD disk or from VOB/IFO files? Commercial stuff is fine too.

In reauthor mode it can be used to isolate sections of a disc (drag the title to the lefthand pane, right-click and select Set Start and End Points), bring different parts from different discs together (open the different discs and drag the parts you want to the lefthand pane), then restructure this into a new DVD.

    Caveats :

    1. No menus. You loose all menus in reauthor mode, and Shrink doesn't create new ones.

    2. Every clip will be a separate title, so no smooth playback across clips or chapter hopping.

Short answer yes...but as guns. said no menus.. However you can add menu after ,but thats a diff. subject, you may not want to deal with at this time IMO.. For your school project it may work just fine though .I've used this method several times and it plays fine.
you can also use Nero express and create menu and add video files, save and burn to disk.....
