Is there a way to 'record' or capture videos from my computer screen?

    Sure.

One or more of the programs listed in the Tools section to the left might be just what you're looking for, in the Capture section. ( https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=5#5 )

Personally, I've only tried Camtasia, really.

Edit: Whoops. thecoalman, I meant to mention Camstudio to begin with. Don't know why I was thinking about Camtasia.

Or the free version which if you read the homepage is actually better, Camstudio .

For gaming or the like do a search for fraps .
