    Hello guys,


    I want to open an avi-file in TMPGCEnc but I recieve the message: "Canīt open or unsupported!"

    What is the problem?

    Is it a divx avi? Sounds like you need a divx codec on your system. Hard to tell though, you don't give alot of info on the file.

    Dowload latest codecs:
    www.divx.com

    It could also be an audio problem(ie:maybe you'll have to convert to Wav and muliplex)as below:

    Assuming you have installed the codecs properly, go to option > enviromental settings > VFAPi plugin. Right click on directshow multimedia file reader and higher its priority.
