  1. hey guys i am looking to buy a digital camera and preferably around $150.I have never used a digital camera before so those who have them please help me out.

    Well, due to the limited price you've mentioned, I'd say it greatly depends on your location...
    I am sure you won't find any good (new) DV cam at this price in North America and most of Europe, but if youre in south-east Asia you may find a 2-3 year old model at such bargain price if you look for it really hard...

    Unless by "digital camera" you mean "still camera"? Thats entirely different matter
    (I assumed a "video camera" automatically since this is a videohelp forum, but maybe I was wrong?
    For "still" digital cam its all about optics, optics, and optics
    You may get a 12Mpx camera for less than that, but the pictures quality will be probably worse than pics taken with some few years old 4-5mpx Canons, Fujis or Nikons with good lenses...

  3. I live in arizona.was interested in just aking pictures not really for video.Hopefully when i go to the store they will have good models there that i can test out.

    in the store they will all look good - it is when you blow up the pictures that you can really tell a diff.

    Duke I would look at getting the Canon Powershot 530, Really Nice Camera, I picked one up at Office-Max a few weeks ago. It was 129.99.....Good Luck
