Encore Dvd 2

Ok can some tell me how Nero Vision is working better than Encore dvd 2? A friend copied all of the current episodes of Heroes and put them on a disk for me. The files are mpg4(xvid). I checked all the files and they are fine. When i use either premier pro to convert them the audio becomes out of sync. If i use encore dvd some along the line the audio drops out. The original files are all fine and in sync. I switched to nero vision and everything is fine. What could i have done wrong? My pc isnt old i have the following for those wondering about specs

Intel core 2 Duo 2.4 E6600
Ram is 2 gigs total
3 hard drives main is raptor 150gig other 2 are 250 gig and 320 gig

Adobe Encore DVD 2 not build to work with mpg4(xvid) files.
Use ConvertXToDVD instead.

I converted the files first then i checked to make sure the conversion isnt out of sync. When i use Encore either the sound drops out towards the end or it gets out of sync. i wound up just using Nero for the episodes
