Hi all,
I am about to buy one of the 2 above but not to sure which one is best for the job. I need the device to sort out my sync issues, as when I am transfering VHS tape to my computer and play the footage (AVI) back on the computer the lips are about 1 second in front of the voice, so the mouth moves first and about a second later the voice can be heard. This happens about 1 hour into the VHS tape and gets worse as it goes on. When I watch it on TV via VHS recoder it is fine.
So which one is the best to fix the sync issues?

Well, I couldn't find much on the CTB100, but I was so impressed with the reviews and info I found on the Canopus ADVC100 that I bought one. Still awaiting its arrival as I've only just ordered it. I've tried a the Winfast TV2000 card and hated it. Crossing my fingers now for the Canopus.

Canopus is very stable for capture(no dropped frames) but you always need to filter video because it always have noise(depend of quality of tape). Evan if you have good vhs tape it still have little noise.
