When I start up my laptop a window comes up offering me broadband, the ad isnt harmfull or anything its just from the company my laptop is from but I hate it popping up everytime I start windows.
I used to get rid of it using Norton SystemWorks remove programs but I dont have that anymore and it isnt in the list of programs in add or remove programs.

    any ideas?

You can clean it out in MSCONFIG in Windows.

WinPatrol is software that does some of the same thing AND monitors the system live to prevent new stuff from installing itself or running at system startup.

You said it only happens on startup.
What you need is startup manager to delete that file. Here one I found, it has
a 30 day evaluation on it

    Hope this helps

    No need for startup software

Goto START button, go to RUN, type MSCONFIG and hit enter

Uncheck the things you DO NOT want running at startup. As you can see, I turned off a bunch of stuff. I left very little running. It makes the system run better, for one.

You can also search online for services that are safe to turn off. In some cases, turning off RemoteDesktop and others can actually improve your security too.

And then the WinPatrol will help you prevent future incursions.
