I just recently purchased an epson rx580, and im looking to run it wirelessly from my linksys router, except, all the wireless print servers i find, require me to run a cord to the printer. Can anyone recomend a print server, with two different pieces of hardware so i dont have to run a cord between the router and the printer...thanks

  2. you don't need a cord between the router and the printer, you need it between the print server and the printer. This is unavoidable unless you get a network printer (yours isn't).

Depending on your setup (wireless) you may need to temporarily connect the print server directly to your router via an ethernet cable - but only to configure it.

After that, your print server (I use a very small belkin model) can sit next toor behind your printer, connected via a short usb cable, with no other connections back to the router other than the invisible wireless one.

Since your's is an "all-in-one printer", a device like this should fit the bill:

ok..this is what i now noticed, first off i need a wireless router which i dont have. Something that looks like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833124052
Then once that is configured, to my computers, then i place one of thses devices and configure it next to the printer

and then i should be able to let my printer stand alone, by the looks of the first wireless print server. If i am completely wrong, please recomend both router and print server for my self, or, my network storage and print server in one...holla back

You can go with a Bluetooth Wireless Printing kit which includes a Bluetooth adaptor for the PC and a Bluetooth Wireless Print Server. You can also buy the adaptor and the print server separately. This should be cheaper than buying a router and a wireless print server, but if you have a need for a wireless router anyway, that might be a better route. Check Google or PriceGrabber.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
