I own a DR-300 DVD Recorder and want to hack the main screen it records on all discs... its and odd picture with the brand (Microsonic in Uruguay, my country).

    I am attaching a picture.

Other things are really working good.

    Thanks,

    Daniel

An easier approach would be to rip the disc to your computer and reauthor the disc. Then burn it to a new dvdr and you're all set.

  4. That second photo is very good and looks very familiar. Here is a photo from the Polaroid DRM-2001G sold by Walmart here in the U.S.

What you want to do is simple in concept but might be hard to do in practice. If this recorder allows you to upgrade or update its firmware, then you have a chance because it means the firmware is in a type of memory like flash memory that can be altered. I suspect the menu image is part of that firmware. If it cannot be updated then the firmware might be in burn once memory which is permanent and cannot be changed.

Checking both pictures I am sure the Europe Amstrad DR-300, Latin America Microsonic DR-300, and US Polaroid 2001G uses the same hardware, and all have this terrible picture with the brand behind the disc menu...
I have e-mailed here to Microsonic dealer, but surely they will not help.
