Basically I had to get a replacement for my Panasonic DMR-ES10 recorder (which lasted less than a year!). I checked out this forum and there seemed to be pretty good feedback on the Toshiba RD-XS34. I got one off of eBay that is called "renewed", which I assume means it's similar to refurbished. I got it for $219, it should get here early next week.
My question is:
Did I get a good deal? I saw "new" ones for over $300, so it seems like one to me. I probably should've asked before I bought it, but it only had 10 minutes before closing.
There was also a XS35 for $10.00 more. What is the difference between the two, if there is any? Both had the same sized hard drive, and seemed to have similar features. Any idea as to the difference?
Thanks![]()

Toshiba is the best recorder made. You won't be dissapointed. It takes awhile to get comfortable with all the options, but once you get used to them, it will do virtually everything possible on a DVD recorder.

It's just the newer model. I don't know if there's any difference.
Gshelley61 would be the one that would know, he's got both.
