  1. hi guys im really struggling to get the end product i require. Ive tried encoing xvids / avi's to mpeg 2 but the out come seems to judder every 2 seconds when the video pans right to left and up and down. When its nearly still the video looks fine its just when fast action or camera panning it starts to judder almost as if its strobing... this is really doin my head in now and ive tried every way possible in tmpgenc 4 xpress to rectify it but no joy.. ive d/loaded a divx codecs but still no joy. Basically im trying to put 3 films onto 1 dvd 4.7gb i konw its possible as ive done it with reall great quality but they seem to be doin the above. ive gspot them to find the original framerate and set it to this in the source menu on tx4 (tmpgenxpress4) tried it in ntsc format / pal / progressive / unspecified etc.. im trying to get it into pal from ntsc, surely there must be a program out there that does this effectivly. Im also putting it through dvdlab so sound has to be at least 48kbs...
any help i would gratefully appreciate and not loose any more hair
    thxs

You're having problems because of the framerate conversion, you might want to try one of these: https://www.videohelp.com/convert#4;41

I'm in NTSC land myself but from what I understand most PAL equipment will handle NTSC. Have you tried leaving it NTSC and seeing if you can play it?

For a single program to do the framerate conversions and encoding, you might try ConvertXToDVD. I use it for PAL Xvids to NTSC DVDs and it does fairly well. If you need better menus, those can always be added later.

Almost sounds like a BFF/TFF issue. Mint- You should post a short (20sec) clip of the Original AVI - one of the problematic areas.
