Cd-R media question

Let me say i'm totally confused about this. A LONG while ago I bought a CD-R that I THINK was gold and had a black swirl through it on the top of the cd-r. Or maybe it was a GOLD swirl anyways I know I bought em before has anyone bought these cd-r's in the past. Can you remember what mfg or what they were called. I keep wanting to think "Memerox" but i'm not sure.....ANY HELP PLS!!!

Maxell 650 MB CD-Rs have a Gold top (but no swirl).
This is (or was) a quality CD-R, but there are other quality brands.
Any particular reason you are so interested in getting this particular type of CD-R?
