Apologies if this has been asked before, I have searched the forum in case first!
I bought the full licensed version of avi-dvd Cucusoft after finding the trial very good and easy to use.
However, it goes through all the motions of converting/burning etc and says it's all been a success, but my Bush AV11K dvd player says "wrong disk", when it accepted the trial-burnt dvd and is multi-region! I am currently awaiting a reply from the cust support and meanwhile following their 'how to' guide to the letter, seeing what the results do this time.
Is this a familiar or easy-to-remedy thing?
Thanks

Multi region doesn't imply "multi TV sytem" - maybe a PAL/NTSC issue? Or was the trial and full version test done using the same source AVI?
What I don't get: You've been asking around for "best" solution for your AVI conversion/playback needs - has anyone suggested Cucusoft?

I suspect that mats is right. Perhaps you used different settings the second time ? It is easy to test. Put the first disc in your PC and open the VOBs with g-spot. Note the video settings (specifically framerate and resolution). Do the same for the second disc. Are they the same ?
The only other thing that comes to mind is -R versus +R, but that should be a dead issues for most newer players. -
On a PC ? Do any PC burning apps that burn DVD Video burn as multi-session ?
It does the raise the question - what did you burn with ? -

Read the guides for AVI to DVD (found under convert left- 48 of them, last time I looked), and do it using free tools (investing your time instead, to learn huw to use them).
Get convertx2dvd, and be content with what it accomplishes (which is plenty).

...like the vast majority of one click wonder apps. If they aren't simply repackaged free applications, they simply suck bigtime. Convertx2dvd seems to be the rare exception.

My suggestion is still to buy a DivX capable DVD player, and forget all about AVI to DVD conversion, but the call is yours.

Hmmm, Cheers Mats
Presumably then you simply burn the avi to disk as it is...
Great stuff, thanks again -
Yes, you just write the AVIs as data files to CD/DVD, pop the disc in your player and enjoy.
