    I need to reduce the MPEG2 video bitrate so my VCD player will play it (currentyl at 2450Kb/s), how do I reduce it? I've tried to de-mux/re-mux, but to no avail. Please advise.

    The only way to lower the bitrate is to re-encode the MPEG.

    re-encode? I don't have the original video, just this mpeg2 video... how can I re-encode it?
