    Well..

My Bleach Episodes...Each one is 23 minutes long...

I usually try to put 9 episodes on a disc but It would be nice to be able to edit the Intro + Ending credits out so I just get the episodes...

That is how long each episode is.

That takes alot longer to do and I have done it before... I wont do it again took way to much time and you had to make batch files and all this other junk for an extra episode or two per dvd.

Id rather use another blank dvd then to edit credits/beginings it is possible however and there is a tutorial on here.

    I use...

Just encode them as VCD (with overscan blocks - don't know what this will make the subs look like) and author with TDA. It will resample the audio to 48 kHz for compliance. You can use tmpgenc plus to do the encoding.

So I can watch them in my ps2 with no Issues
Given the PS2 is one of the worst DVD players ever sold, no-one will guarantee playback - especially on burned media.

If you are going to use ConvertXtoDVD, change the custom size down to 4100MB, and keep it to 6 episodes.

Block have no relation to screen size, as the image gets scaled with the screen anyway. The number of blocks is based on how big the overscan area on your TV is. Cheap TVs often have bigger overscan areas than better brands, but the relative overscan area of a small TV may be larger than that of a bigger screen.

Personally, I use two blocks. On my TV I just see the edges of the border. On other TVs the image still loses a few lines. There is no standard overscan size, so you will always win and lose a little here and there. Two blocks seems to be a good compromise.

Caveat : I don't do VCD encoding, but two 16 pixel blocks is a big chunk out of VCD resolution, compared to the relatively small area on DVD resolution. You may find that one block is enough in this case. Certainly, I use two for full-D1 DVD resolution. You might have to test it to find out what works best for you.

    I bought a few DVD's awhile back...

Naruto...With Subs...And the Quality was AMAZING...And I notice they used DVD-R'z and they used Lighscribe to write the labels onto them...

But my question is...He got 13 Episodes on ONE DVD-5 Disc...

How did he do that?? They WORK Perfect on my PS2 when I play them...

13 Episodes...I posted the DVD Info I got...I still have no Idea how to use the DVD Info Tool but I was able to use it for this...How did this person get 13 Episodes at 4.38GB's I get like 4.6GB with only 9 Episodes...I mean he probably had to compress it but why does it work so PERFECT in my PS2 Burner and there is no overscan issues I have watched it on my Sony DVD/VHS Combo as well as my PS2...On the back it says...

    DVDM-1886-2 DVD-Video
    Stereo 4:3
    Color 1
    MPEG2
    DVD-5 English Subs
    Volume 1-2

    What do you think??

Post a G-Spot screenshot. The info you have posted is only about the disc, not the movies on it.

Capacity is about bitrate. Lower the bitrate, get more on. Without actually seeing the thing in action, I cannot comment on the quality, other than to say that it really is in the eye of the beholder, and that what some find to be 'DVD quality' (or worse, "near DVD quality") I often see as sub VHS. KVCD is a good example. Those that support it claim near DVD quality as very low bitrates. The low bitrate is right, however very example I have seen, including those on the KVCD site, show all the problems of low bitrate encoding - macro-blocks, pulsing etc. Some people just can't see it, or chose not to.

Regardless, post a g-spot screenshot and we will be able to see exactly how this disc has been encoded, which might help you squeeze a bit more on.

If that was my computer, I would ditch the last three items, put Imgburn on instead, and start learning basic avisynth and HCEnc.

One is enough. They have been able to fit some many on by using a very low bitrate. Much lower than I would use for half-D1 resolution, but they are using full-D1. I cannot imagine that the quality is particularly good, but if you are happy with it, then you can use the same sort of numbers for your encode.

But none of the programs you have listed will get you anything but low quality at these bitrates. To have any chance of it not looking like cold dog vomit, you will have to get your hands dirty and encode each episode manually, using multiple passes from a good encoder (HCEnc is building quite the reputation for low bitrate encoding), the author it all together at the end.

Try using tmpgenc plus. You get two weeks of mpeg-2 in the demo, but the mpeg-1/VCD level encoding is good forever.

FitCD just makes resize scripts. They are not specific to mpeg encoding - any encoder that takes avs scripts can use them.

RMVB is a poor format to try to convert anything from. They keep it too closed for many encoders to do a really good job with. Avisynth can do it, but you need to install real alternative and use DirectShowSource instead of AVISource to open them.
