I did a stupid thing. I accidentally recorded the full ts, ie all the channels on a transponder. I, of course, only wanted to record one channel but now it seems that I am stuck. I now have a TS file that has multiple audio and video stream in it.

Is there any way that i can extract the audio and video information for the program I wanted to record from the ts so that i can play it. I know the PID's and have verified that they are in the ts file, but i can't seem to get them out in a playable format. Looking around i have found Manzanita has a program that will do exactly what i want but it is way too expensive to fix a, hopefully one time, screw up. It doesn't have a trial that will allow a demux. I have been able to get, what appears in file size, to be the right audio and video, with dvbsnoop but the files are unplayable, binary i think. They also might be missing the PAT if they are supposed to be a ts.

I also tried DGMPGDec. I can open the ts, set the PID i want for audio and video, but after that it either seems to lock up or I just don't know what to do to extract them in a usable format.

Any way i cant seem to get anything to make this work. If anyone knows of something that will allow me to demux the PIDs' from a TS with multiple audio and video streams in it so they are playable files that i could mux into a PS i would really appreciate it.

-MpegStreamClip Method (probably the easiest way)- http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-win.html

Note: You need Quicktime Alternative installed as well

mpeg2repair will work. You'll be left with only the audio and video of the main program, the resulting file will still be in transport stream format.

If you want to demux that, you could then use DGIndex

To convert directly to a Mpeg2 program stream, you can use Project X

Thanks Soopafresh. I finally got back to getting this done and you saved me a lot of work. I went with the ProjectX approach. It worked great. Thanks for the screenshots too.

    Thanks again, I appreciate it
