Ok I get anomalies when I encode a 480X480 movie at 480X480! I got an SVCD so I converted it into a format that TMPGENC could use with DVD2AVI. The resolution of the SVCD is at 480X480 so I thought It would be better to use 480X480 instead of the VCD res which was I was going to make. The anomalies appear in motion and they are sharp horizontal lines across the moving objects. I've tried all the settings in the damn program to fix it, like deinterlace and some of the others but it doesnt work. It used to work when I cranked the resolution down but its still there! I tried cranking it down to normal VCD resolution and it still has those horrible horizontal line anomalies there! How do I get rid of those things!?

Ok It now works with 352X240 without the anomalies. But the 480X480 res that I want is just plain awful to look at. So it has something to do with resolution I guess. Do I need to use a some kind of a ratio or something? The original SVCD was 480X480 for crying out loud!

Ok so I found it in some parts it still has ANOMALIES! Its decent throughout the movie, but in some parts it looks awful. So it isn't the resolution. But the weird thing is when I scan through the d2v file with TMPGENC it shows that crap! Is it TMP doing it? Or DVD2AVI? God this is making me mad! I've been up all night trying to fix this. I just wanna watch this movie on my dvd playerrrrrrr.
