Unable To Open Local Disk(C)

Can you help, i'm unable to open my local disk C.
Each time i click onto it it opens up desktop search. I've uninstalled desktop search and tried to open local disk again but still no joy.

So the problem i've got is that i unable to access my file and folder in the disk drive. Even my external HDD is the same it opens up desktop search.

I think that the problem may have occurred when i was trying to remove an icon. This was the advice i was given by trend micro as i was unable to remove there icon, as there icon replaced my HDD icon. Below is what they told me to do, hope you can help Thanks.


Please go to Start > Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types > Select the Drive Icon > Advanced > Change Icon > Set it back to the original icon and click on OK.
