Ok, I hooked the dvd recorder up to my samsung tv like the book showed and to my surround sound system like the book showed. I bought the some DVD-RW blank dvd's and I set my recorder up in the EP mode record because I was recording the Daytona 500. I turned my tv on to the race and when it came on I hit the record button and the red light came on the recorder. Everything looked like it was running right, it was showing on the recorder how long it had been recording and when the race went off I stopped recording and with it in stop mode I selected disc finalize. It shows on the menu screen how long it recorded, over 4 hours but when I hit the play button it does not do anything. I took the dvd out and looked at the other side and you can tell that something has been recorded on it. I put it in the recorder again and tried to play it like a regular dvd but it just showed a black screen. I had my tv on the right source too, the one for dvd's. I took it out and placed it in my computer and tried it on there and same thing. It was my first time at using the recorder so I'm brand new at this, any idea's? I can go back and unfinalize if need to.
