    as a nob I wonder what’s the difference between MP4, mpeg4 and 3G

    I recommend wikipedia,
    mp4, a container like .avi see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mp4
    mpeg4, video and audio codecs see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPEG-4
    3g, mobile phone standard see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3G

    or check the swedish wikipedia site, http://sv.wikipedia.org/ .

    I´m interested in converting DVD’s and videos into
    SE p990i
    SE W800
    iPod
    and when googling for info I get confused: Should I convert to MP4 or 3GP??

    All your devices supports mp4 BUT they don't support all kind of mp4. A mp4 can be anything from low resolution mobile formats to high defination video.

    Use easy all-in-one converters that has profiles for your mobiles and ipod. Super has many such profiles. For ipod I would test the latest Videora Ipod Converter or Mpeg StreamClip.
