I have a new DVD player. I connected it to a TV with S-Video, Component, composite cables (seperatedly) to test it. S-Video and composite connection works fine, but with component cable, it shows pink on the TV. Does it mean the component output on my DVD player is broken? How can I fix it if it is not? Thanks in advance. cyan301

Possible bad cable or incorrect menu setting.

Menu should be set for YPbPr component out and interlace (unless this is a progressive TV).

    To check cable,

Green to Green (Y) should be monochrome on the TV with all detail.

Red and Blue cables should add color.

Thanks, edDV. I think the cable I used is good since it works fine in another machine and I tried more than one component cable, they all are same to show pink color on the TV. I am going to check the menu. Which menu should I look at? TV's or DVD player's? Thanks again.
