cannot register ffmpegx - no registration page appears

I just did a clean install of the latest version of ffmpegx on my 10.3.9 machine - I followed the instructions on the download page, but at no point did a registration page appear. tried running ffmpegx, it runs, but I'm still, obviously, locked out of the tools that require registration.

how do I enter my registration keys?

problem solved.

for anyone else running into this problem, here's some tips that might help.

1. follow the instructions as per the download page which will step you through getting ffmpegx installed in your Applications folder

2. unmount the ffmpegx disk image! the one that you mounted to do the install make sure you unmount it!

3. just to be safe, unmount any other external drives that might have an old copy of ffmpegx

4. make sure ffmpegx is not still running from step 1. go back to the Application folder and run it a second time. the registration screen should drop down
