It used to be that I could Directly Record video on my Toshiba VCR from HBO Video on Demand.....I have now just noticed that I cannot Record "Any" Video on Demand without the Picture Jumping and Lines......I think this is a new form of Copy Protection.....As soon as I press Record the Problem Starts....As soon as I press Stop it Ceases imediately....
I can watch any VOD clearly but can not longer Record it...Does anyone know how to get around this?.....Should I be looking into a Video Decoder Box between my TV, VCR & Cable Box?.....Toshiba M-Series VCR & Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3250 Cable Box...
P.S. So far this has not affected Recording any other Channel including HBO that is not on "Video On Demand"......Thank You - John

Sounds like VOD is copy protected. Here may be a cheap option:
