  1. Ok I was trying to follow the MPEG2 to VCD guide but the stupid TMPGEnc VFP plugin does not work. I try and load the d2v file and it doesn't let me! What am I supposed to do now? I unzipped the install files to the TMPEG directory and installed them, but it doesn't do anything. Can I use LSX to do this? How would I go about doing it?

  2. Ok the VFP plugin is working in TMPEG but it just does not recognize the d2v file. I don't want to have to convert it to AVI and then back to VCD.

  3. I've narrowed it down to the video source thats not recognized. It recognizes the mpa file from dvd2avi right away, but it just doesn't recognize the dv2! Also in DVD2AVI I noticed a vfapi plugin selection thing in the help pulldown menu, but it has no checkmark next to it. Is this the problem? I think i'll post this in the advanced decoding forum

put the check mark next to the vfapi plugin.. and goto "enviromental settings" and raise the priority ti "1" for that plug in....

Worked for me on my 1.2Ghz P4 under WinME. Good luck!

Check the dvd2avi directory. There must be a dvd2avi.vfp file too. If not, then download dvd2avi once again.

btw, version 1.76 is the latest original. 1.82 and 1.85 are modified versions for avi output. 1.82 comes without .vfp

  6. Ok I got that vfi plugin because the DVD2AVI version I got did not come with it. So then the checkmark appeared in that spot and I tried converting again. It still didn't work so by luck I downloaded a newer DVD2AVI version that came with a more up-to-date vfi plugin, AND IT FINALLY WORKED! But I have a problem. The SVCD I have is at 480X480 resolution. If I convert it to native VCD it looks like crap, and If I leave it at 480X480 I get those graphic anomalies. When there is movement on the screen it has those jaggies. Its so hard to explain! Is there anyway around this?
