In a DVD authored by DVD maestro, these are the pre/post commands for a title as shown by Pgcedit:
******pre commands:
1. Set gprm(0) =(mov) gprm(6)
2. Set gprm(6) =(mov) 0
3. Set gprm(1) =(mov) 0
4. Set gprm(2) =(mov) 0
5. if ( gprm(0) == 1 ) then { Break }
******post commands:
1. (CallSS) Call the VMGM PGC 9, resume cell 1
There are no cell commands.
My question is: what is the point of the last pre command (5), with Break?
It seems to me it is redundant. Whether it is there or not, the first cell of title starts playing.
Is there something subtle about the last pre command?

Yes it does seems pointless but remember Meastro is an abstraction layer tool, not a spec level tool like Scenarist. This might be a part of that Abstraction layer. Check out a disc authored in DVD Studio Pro - talk about a pointless and convaluted abstraction layer
