I've already discovered the answer to this question, but wish to test everyone's knowledge:

Has anyone found a combination of DVD-ROM drive(s) and software that would read a
    Microsoft X-Box disc?

I believe the answers will entertain all of us - I've been reading tons at other forums.

The general opinion that I've seen is "NO!".

    Have fun, appreciate everyone's thoughts.

More entertaining in the answers that are out there - even if they're not always correct.

I was surprised at what I did find - it wasn't what I'd always thought.

    Handyguy is the winner!

It is surprising how many times that I read: The xbox reads the disc backwards, etc.

It's not easy, but they can be read.

Why bother when you can wifi into a softmodded xbox and then rip? Thats how I did when I had an xbox.

Worked great. That way you didn't need to have the xbox next to the computer. Just wifi ftp in and your set.

I'm gonna go with Microsoft XBOX on this one. It has a drive that will read and software to play it built in.

    It's Pure Genius!!! :P
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
