Hey guys could you please explain to a non expert such as myself what the new read mode in imgburn does, does that mean you can now eliminate dvdshrink if burning to single layer or does the read mode simply mean that you can rip to hard drive with imgburn (eliminate ripit4me?) in read mode and write the full disc to blank dual layer disc with imgburn. Please explain for a newbie. Thank you for your reply.

It mean's it will read a NON protected disc to an ISO on your HDD.
No it does not eliminate ripit4me or any other current up to date ripping software as ImgBurn does not remove any type of protection on a commercial disc.
If he made it to do that he would be right back in the same boat as when he used to develop DVD Decrypter.. actually prob. worse seeing as they already came after him for DVD Decrypter -
