reliable, small, region-free ONLY software?

hi, as subject says, just looking for a reliable small program that only makes dvd burner/software refion free, and nothing else.
Is there any that would be recommended?

For most DVD readers/writers, there is some kind of hacked firmware available that makes it region free. Every make and model has its own firmware. There's no G P "make DVD reader region free" software.
DVD43 and AnyDVD doesn't make your hardware region free, but allows you to read "wrong region" discs anyway.

lets just say the player is locked to one region, the software will allow to play another region?

I want firmware to be last option if possible.

Yes, there are several such apps. Click the DVD43 link, and it lists some of them. AnyDVD seems like the best around, but isn't free.

yeah, i checked those tools out before i posted, and the ones that do only region-free(almost)

but the comments said there was problems etc...thats why i asked if there were reliable ones.

would dvd43 be the best of them 3?

I've never had a problem with DVD REGION KILLER. What dvd burner model do you have? Remember now you'll have to make your dvd region free by using hacked firmware and use a program like DVD REGION KILLER for your operating system. As mentioned ANYDVD isn't free.

ok, so the 3 programs i mentioned above wont work with a locked burner(pioneer [109 i think]), but Anydvd will?

you will NEED to use a hacked firmware for your PIONEER 109 drive to make it become region free.

Just to add...

If you intend on making back-ups of any of your DVDs from whatever region, you don't need to make your DVD drive region free. All of the software that makes back-up copies will produce a region free disc that can be played on the drive.
