Hi All,
I've got a Panasonic DMR-EX75 which can upscale to 1080i via a HDMI port and a Wharfedale LCD26HD than can play 1080i via the DVI port.
So therefore i assume i can play standard dvd's at 1080i?
To begin with i got a HDMI to HDMI cable by mistake, so i bought a HDMI to DVI connector, and both TV and DVD recognised the cable was attached. However the Panasonic wouldn't let me change the settings in HDMI setup, everything apart from automatic was greyed out so i couldn't select 1080i.
So i then ordered a HDMI to DVI lead and when this is plugged in neither recognise it's attached.
Do i need a specific type of cable to get 1080i? there seems to be many kinds and a big price difference between certain cables.
Any help would be grately appreciated.
Thanks
