I have some mpeg files that I recorded by MythTV. I want to make DVD from it and preserve the subtitle. I used TMPEGEnc MPEG editor to cut out some unwanted parts and then use DVD-lab pro for authorizing. What tool can I use to rip the subtitle so that I can add it during authoring? Thanks in advance.

It's a closed caption actually. I can switch on/off in my MythTV.
I compiled ProjectX and ran once. It created video and audio files automatically but no closed caption. Do I need to change some settings? Thanks.

  4. If it is really closed caption (line21 data), ProjectX will not help you, as it supports the European standard ('teletext') but not the NTSC equivalent (Line 21 Closed Captions). You may find the necessary tools and information for Line 21 Closed Captions here:
