I´ve noticed my DV camcoder have bad pixels on the CCD. Can someone sugest a good solution to hide that dots mixing with the surrouding pixels? Could be in Vegas or Avisynth.

With the dots in a fixed position, I think using a plugin like Undot would be a waste of time,

Try a delogo filter instead. Just limit it's focus to a small area around the errant pixel

jameshgross: xcelent idea! But I think repair the camera won't fix the footages made before I've noticed the problem.

guns1inger: Good sugestion. The color of the pixels are not fixed, so I'll have to make the mask on Photoshop, and set the parameters to full opaque. Let's try.

Mediachance (maker of DVDLabPro) has a photo plugin/utility called "HotPixels Fix".

    http://www.mediachance.com/plugins/index.html

Could be utilized in a similar way to still photos for video.

I've managed to fix the hotpixels using Vdub's Delogo in Repair mode. They are now invisible in 95% of time. One more plugin for my utility belt!
    Thanx
