    It there any method for quickly erasing minidv tapes ?

    we have tried a degausser but it didn't seem to do much, we need to erase the tapes as we loan them out and it will breach data protection if they have video on them.

    I was hoping there would be a minidv to vhs converter but i only seem to find vhs-c that fits into a vhs tape.

    Any suggestions ?

    Leave the lens cap on and record over the tape. Only takes an hour

    You need a Magnetic Bulk Tape Eraser. Radio shack has them for about $20.00 Bucks, Ebay $12.00 Bucks.....
