I have a Mag Innovision LT530c LCD monitor...and it hooks up to the PC using a DFP connector.
The card that I had it hooked up to, was AGP ATI Rage LT Pro...but I want tonow hook it up to a PCI slot on a eMachine. However I haven't been able to find a PCI card with at lease 32 mg, with a DFP connector on it. Does anyone know where i can get one cheap?
The eMachine already has a 64 mg on-board video adapter, but I'd rather use a PCI one.
The eMachine T2792 (2.70ghz celeron) also does not have a AGP slot....therefore the reason for needing a PCI card with DFP 20 pin connector. I need to get this card quickly so please reply quickly...thanks

You could get a PCI video card with DVI out and one of these DVI>DFP adapters:
I found this one on the net for about $15US. http://www.cyberresearch.com/store/industrial-monitors-displays-swivel-mounting-arms/m...FMF_3754.5.htm They seem to be easy to find. Probably a better solution than trying to find a DFP video card to your liking. May depend on the type of DVI socket the PCI card has, but you may find one that works.
And welcome to our forums. -
Thank you for the fast reply...and the welcome aboard. Yes, I was thinking about going that way...but I didn't want to buy two devices. But it looks like I'll have to.
Now I got to find a card with DVI, that shouldn't be too hard...my main computer already has one... nVidia GeForce FX5200...I hope I don't have to spend too much, being that the Mag LCD
doesn't have a really good res etc. I really only need a 32 perhaps or 64mg. Let me know if you run across one, will you?KWG-PC Repair and Sales -

Can you tell me what DVI connector is on this card? (dvi-d dvi-a etc)
then, I need to find the DFP adapter for this type DVI pci card...

There are several 'flavors' of DVI connectors. This site has a graphic of some: http://www.cablestogo.com/resources/dvi.asp Or this one has a little more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVI
That one could be a DVI-D (Digital). The other similar one is a DVI-I (Analog/Digital), that includes a analog output. These are commonly used with a adapter for analog monitors, such as VGA. I use one of these for a second VGA output for one of my monitors from the DVI connector. -
This is a picture of the connector that my monitor has,
all words in blue were added by me.
The video card thats in the P3 right now has the female
built-in, ...I require a card that I can install into the eMachine
that has also the female, but it must be in PCI only
