VCD creation not loading in DVD

I have a Sony DVP-S360 DVD player that says it plays 'Video CDs Compact disc Digital Video' (also says so on your compatibility list). I used MGI VideoWave III to create a VCD format file(352x240,29.97,24bits,44100hz,Stereo,16bits). I used Nero to create the VCD, it accepted the VCD file I created. It created the VCD but when I put it in my DVD, it says there is no disc.
Any thoughts ?

you get this problem becuase your trying to play a vcd on a cdr which your dvd player can't read.
you should burn it on a cdrw, which your player support
