I have a large number of computers that I need to install the divx codec on, in order to watch a training video. Is there a way to distribute the codec so that the users don't have to run the installer? Is the installer actually making registry changes and such, or are there simply files that WMP9 needs to be able to read?
If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

You can't just copy the Divx decoder to the computer. At the very least it must be registered as a DirectShow filter:
REGSVR32 divxdec.ax
This makes changes to the resgistry so that Directshow can find and use it.
I don't know if anything else is required for playback. I don't have any virgin systems to test it on.
