(Previously posted on the newbies forum)

    Hi,

Got a copy of Movie Edit Pro (11 Plus) for Christmas.

I'm happy with the editing tools, and have used them to create several movies from stills (rather than restrict myself to the standard slideshow functions).

However, I have a problem with the DVD Menus produced. I am trying to put multiple movies onto one disk, and I don't really want a main menu, just a "chapter" menu with one icon for each of the movies I put on the disk. When I try to play the disk, I get the main manu with just one icon that starts playing from the beginning of movie 1. With some fiddling around (stopping, pressing menu button, pressing play in various combinations) I can get the menu I intended with one icon per movie. Overall, I have the BIG problem on playback that no icon in the menu is highlighted on the screen, and the arrow buttons on my remote do not highlight an icon. Hence I cannot navigate the menus at all.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

    Kindest regards
    Dave

Checked - no such option in the package. DVD player doesn't have this set.

try convertX or download a fully functional trial of Movie Factory 5 from Ulead

these will give you menus for the different titles,

and MF5 will create chapeter markers and let you edit and cut the files before authoring

I have been using mf4 and just installed the trial version of MF5

  5. Late reply, but I love my Movie Edit Pro 11 so I'm trying to help others (past or future) out.

I think what you want is:
    1) On the Record tab import each movie as a NEW movie.
    2) On the Burn tab make sure the "Menu adjust" section is visible (click the far left icon just above the menu preview) and select the "Movie menu only" Mode.

That should give you a single minu with one thumbnail for each movie which should go straight into playing the move.

    Good luck!
