ok for some streams --- but more often than not they will have many buffer over or underflows .... though not a huge deal for software playback (but a HUGE deal for broadcast) ....

Doesn't surprise me. Another way which I think might work pretty well would be to mux the audio and video into a regular MPG file, then load it in VideoRedo and save as a transport stream. Videoredo is one of the very few apps where I can convert from PS to TS and the resulting file actually plays on the MYHD hardware card in my PC.

Demux the transport stream with MpegStreamClip http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-win.html

    Command line mux via mplex.exe

    mplex -f 3 -b 1786 -r 19200 -o output.mpg video.m2v audio1.ac3 audio2.ac3

    mplex4hd.zip

bbTOOLS is still also an excellent DEmultiplexor for transport streams ... what i still use a lot of the time because it works well with multiple audio streams in a TS stream ...

Yes indeed, and its an older app to boot... There's a version out there called bcdemux which is pretty fast and based on the same code.

Another great TS demuxer that deliberately tries to maintain A/V sync is Xport.exe
