    Hi,

Does anyone know of a software DVD Player that will emulate widescreen playback as letterboxed (like it would display on a 4:3 TV) -- I want to test the 4:3 button highlights when my widescreen menu is letterboxed.

    TIA,
    George

mmm... powerdvd will read the 16:9 flags built into mpg2 file headers and display accordingly. this includes the mpegs used in dvd menu authoring.

    Hi,

    Thanks for replying.

I have PowerDVD, but I don't want it to playback as widescreen. I want to FORCE it to playback in letterboxed mode (as if the widescreen dvd was being played on a 4:3 TV).

I want to test my letterboxed button highlights (as opposed to the regular widescreen button highlights).

    Regards,
    George
