    I've got a JVC GR-DF550US digital Camcorder. Using the firewire 1394 port, I connect my Camcorder to my PC. However, PC can not see JVC as a webcam. The message is: "no webcam was found on your system." I can transfer image form JVC to PC for making DVD.

    Can anyone please help me with the webcam function?

    Try to find the old Orange Micro "WebDV" program that made the conversion from DV to Webcam (aka CIF, "Netmeeting").

    Orange Micro has gone defunct. Read your manual. Sony DV cams support Webcam CIF over USB. Maybe JVC does.

    I've tried DVDriver, but it is not free. Is there any alternative to use my camcorder as webcam?

    Appreciated it.
