Ok this is kinda weird.

I have a tivo series 2 model. It works great. But I have analog cable (no box) and the weird thing is my local nbc station used to be all fuzzy on the regular tv tuner while the tivo was in standby. It looked decent through the tivo but if your recording something else you can't watch it clearly on just the tv tuner (when the unit is in standby - note THIS IS NOT A DUAL TUNER TIVO HENCE THE REASON I PUT IT IN STANDBY - SO I CAN WATCH ANOTHER CHANNEL THROUGH THE TIVO PASSTHROUGH UP ON THE TV TUNER).

The odd thing is today I hooked up the cable straight to the tv - no tivo just the cord. All the channels looked fine (well some slightly distorted but I'd say 95% strong those few channels that weren't perfect). Anyhow, I originally had it hooked up to have the cable go to the tivo first, then to a vcr, then to a rca video/coax converter unit that would send one coax to the one coax in on the tv (only one coax on the tv input - no video jacks at all - its a 15 year old tv probably - mono to boot but looks good still 25").

So today I reworked it so that the only way the cable went was to the tivo first then to the video/coax unit - it would then go from there to the tv completely bypassing the vcr. Only vcr out video/audio cables went into the video/coax unit.

Ok so my nbc station is nearly perfect now but my ABC station has gone all fuzzy! WHat gives?? It is still watchable but this is really weird. This never hapens when using a straight vcr connection.

ANy suggestions????? If pics would help I could post some. Or I could do a diagram in ms paint. Thanks for any suggestions - this is kinda minor because it looks ok through the tivo its just that abc looks bad on the tv tuner while the tivo is recording something else and I can't watch through the tivo - again this is not a dual tuner model.
