    I know how to do the silhouettes for pictures or art. Can someone please explain how it is done with video. I am currently using adobe premiere

    There are two simple ways.

    1. Have the backlit subject darkly dressed in front of a bright, well lit background, then use contrast filters or the difference matte to separate and mask the subject

    2. Similar to the first suggestion, however put them in front of a blue or green screen so you can use keylight or similar to get a good quality mask.

    Tell me something. If i had created the video already without these in mind. How would i be able to create the silhouettes with premiere.

    You could try the difference matte. Otherwise, you would have to use something like After Effects or Combustion that would allow you to rotoscope your mattes by hand using splines. Time consuming stuff.
