No matter how many times and tools I have tried, AutoGk is the only tool I've found in years of trying that doesn't result in avi's with audio sync issues. I am converting a lot right now, and I tried Virtual Dub (et al), avi.net, dvd::rip..all with varying degrees of sync issues.

I am not smart enough to figure out what autogk is doing differently. Can somebody sum it up for me? I'd really like to be able to use other tools (especially dvd::rip).

    Thanks!

  2. Can't say why per say, but its the best tool for DVD to AVI.

If it is working for you nad giving you the results that you want, don't knock it!
