Build avi from single file jpegs?

Hello, my son is interested in 3D animation and I thought I would start him on an older copy of Lightwave. A older version 5 is great because he just needs the basics to start. Plus the upgrade is probably over a grand.

Although version 5 works the build avi plugins seem to break under XP.

Basically my question is:

Is there a good freeware or shareware package that will build anims out of sequences of frames?

Just load the 1st jpg file, and it will automatically load the rest.

Used Vdub alot just never realized it could do that.
