    Hi everyone, first time here...
I got this problem: I extracted the vob content from an already authored DVD for re-authoring it. I used VobEdit for this, turning the vob files into a single .m2v file. The problem is: when I try to import the .m2v file into Adobe Encore, it says the file needs to be re-transcoded. Why? Shouldn't Encore just open the .m2v file, without re-transcoding it once again? Thanks!

    Maybe a NTSC/PAL issue?
Maybe 352x240/480/576 video and I don't think encore supports those.

Post the details of the m2v, video frame size/resolution and frame rate. Identify the m2v with mediainfo.

    and welcome to our forum!
