Do you think the authors will ever address the problem DVD-lab PRO 2 has of crashing everytime you ask it to deal with a compilation containing multiple VTS?

I'm just sick of having to have both v1.60 & v2.xx installed just for when I need to author a disc with multiple VTS.

What type of problem are you having? I've used multiple-VTS's a few times without any problems...

    btw, there's a new update posted today -- v2.25

Just quite simply that whenever I go to compile a multiple VTS compilation, the compiler just crashes and exits early with no warning dialog, no error messages, nothing. It just exits as if it had finished but the files it creates can't be played and obviously aren't complete. v1.60 works fine. I'm talking about v2.25.

Can you post a Report of your project?

Also, what are your Virtual memory settings? Are you compiling to a separate hard drive?

    What is your source ?

9 times out 10 compiler crashes are related to source issues.

I have been compiling multi-VTS titles since version 1.x of DLP and never had issues. I am now currently running 2.24 and it still works fine.

Source material is a combination of SVCD frame sized MPEG-2 & VCD frame sized MPEG-1 compliant MPEGs made with TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 and AC3 2 channel audio @ 48kHz made with the TMPGEnc AC-3 Plug-in accessed through DVD-lab PRO manually. Hence the need for multiple VTS as you can't mix SVCD & VCD resolutions in the same VTS.

I'll give it a bash. I'll try and figure out how to do that and post it up here.

Ahh, whatever the W2K SP4 default is. I haven't played around with anything in that area.

Are you compiling to a separate hard drive?
Yes, compiling across a network in fact. Source files on one HDD in one computer, output to another HDD on another computer linked together via CAT5 cable. Sure, I know it's hardly a fast way of doing things but speed is not important here.

I would start by eliminating the network from the puzzle. Just compile to and fro a single machine for the moment.

Finally it would appear the v2.26 of DVD-lab PRO is the first version of the v2.xx stream to be able to compile multiple VTS structures correctly. Perhaps it was my tirade of abuse at them that finally made them look into it. Is it just me, or does v2.26 report being v2.25 in Help | About?

Haven't upgraded yet, as I have yet to have any problems with multi-VTS titles in DLP2. Will probably look at upgrading when my current project is done.
